Everyone, regardless of years of experience, will be offered a "Safe Harbor" match.
As part of this match, there will be NO required vesting schedule – in others words, you gain immediate ownership and are vested in all safe harbor money as you contribute.
In order to receive a match, you must participate in the plan.
We will also provide a “Discretionary Match” opportunity based upon both employee contribution levels and years of service.
For staff that have participated in the plan for less than five years … the total match opportunity is up to 5% (safe harbor plus discretionary).
For staff that have participated in the plan for five years or longer … the total match opportunity is up to 11% (safe harbor plus discretionary).
This discretionary match has a “three-year cliff” vesting schedule. This means that you gain ownership of the Credit Union’s discretionary matching funds after three years of plan participation and 1000 hours worked each plan year.
