Open Enrollment 2022

Open Enrollment is the period where you can review, elect, decline, or make changes to your benefits for the upcoming calendar year.  Other than experiencing a Qualifying Life Event, Open Enrollment is your only opportunity to make benefit changes so make sure you complete the necessary steps if interested in making changes to your current elections.

Online Enrollment will begin 10/18/2021 and end 10/29/2021

Below are important details about the open enrollment period and effective date of your requested elections.

  • All open enrollment changes are to be made on ADP and must be completed by 5 PM on Friday, October 29, 2021.

  • The changes that you make to your benefits will take effect on 01/01/2022.

You must complete ADP open enrollment if:

  • You currently have a Medical FSA and/or Dependent Care FSA in 2021 and want to continue participation in 2022.  Be sure to data-enter enrollments as a per pay period election (not annualized).

  • You want to make any changes to (or waive) your medical, dental, vision, or HSA plans.  HSA elections must also be designated as per pay period (not annualized.)

  • You are not currently enrolled in any medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, or Dependent care plans, and wish to be enrolled effective 01/01/2022!

You do not need to complete ADP open enrollment if:

  • You have waived coverage for all benefits, and you wish to continue waiving coverage.

  • You are satisfied with your current health, dental, vision, and HSA enrollments, and don’t plan to make any changes to these benefits.  Your current elections will roll into the new year.

2022 Plan Changes

We encourage you to educate yourselves about GreenState Credit Union's health coverage and other benefits, prior to making your final benefit elections for the upcoming year. This page, along with the Insurance tab is a good places to start.  Below you will find information highlighting changes for the calendar year of 2022.  You can also hear about these changes by watching this short 4-minute video.

Medical Rates

We are pleased to be able to continue to provide a choice in health plans for all staff by offering both a PPO and HDHP.  Over the course of the last year, the PPO plan accounted for over 65% of total health plan cost for year.  As such, there will be an increase to PPO monthly rates, while HDHP rates will remain the same.  Additionally, one plan enhancement has been made:  The PPO Doctor on Demand and Virtual Visit copay will decrease from $40 to $20.  Please take a look at the documents below to review the per pay period and monthly premium amounts as well as the Summary of Benefits and Coverage for both plans offered.

MedOne Pharmacy Benefit Manager

We will continue to use MedOne as our Pharmacy Benefits Manager and encourage you to review log-in and contact information for MedOne via by navigating to the insurance tab. In 2022, there will be an increase to prescription co-pays at non-preferred pharmacies of Walgreens and CVS. For prescriptions purchased through those two pharmacies, the co-pay tiers will be $10/$35/$50. For prescriptions purchased at other preferred pharmacies, such as Hy-Vee, there will be a lesser co-pay of $4/$25/$40. There will also be an increase to the co-pay for all specialty drugs of $150 to $200, regardless where purchased. If you have questions regarding your specific prescription(s), please reach out to MedOne's Member Advocate Team at 888-884-6331 for assistance.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

GreenState Credit Union will continue to offer the opportunity for HDHP participants to open and fund a Health Savings Account (HSA) with pre-tax dollars through payroll deduction.  We are pleased to share that an employer contribution will once again be provided in 2022 for all participants who contribute a minimum of $10 per pay period.  The employer contribution for 2022 will be $31.25 per pay period for Employee only coverage ($750 annually), and $62.50 per pay period for all other coverage levels ($1500 annually).

For staff that participated in the HSA plan in 2021, current enrollments will automatically roll into the new year if no election changes are made during Open Enrollment.  All new participants must complete open enrollment on ADP.  Enrollments must be an even dollar amount divided across 24 pay periods. The annual limit on HSA contributions will be $3,650 for self-only and $7,300 for family coverage.
